This fun “craftivity” is perfect for Thanksgiving. Kids can make cute little paper turkeys using the free template below. I love an easy low-prep craft and with this one kid can put their scissors skills to work. All you need is the template, scissors, and glue to make this adorable turkey.

You can even use it to make Thanksgiving table place cards! It's a great way to get kids involved in prepping for the holiday and your guests will love the personal touch.

How to Make an Easy Paper Turkey for Thanksgiving

Start by printing the template below. Then, provide the template, scissors, and glue to your child. Let your child cut out each piece of the turkey and set it aside. They should have 3 flower pieces, a turkey head, and 2 feet.

There is a small image on the template showing what the finished turkey should look like for reference. Encourage your child to look at that image and build theirs to match.

This is a great activity for the classroom, Thanksgiving day, play dates or homeschool. Since it’s so easy to set up, you can print out a ton of copies of the template and set out glue sticks and scissors. What a fun "craftivity" for the last week of school before Thanksgiving break!

For younger kids who may not have scissor skills mastered just yet, consider cutting the pieces yourself ahead of time. Then provide them a sample as a reference and they can put their turkey together.
